Located a few kilometers from the "Costa de Prata" in Central Portugal. The region has many beautiful beaches and an abundance of historic and impressive sights. An old olive plantation on a hill overlooking the beautiful Batalha valley with lots of greenery, vineyards, olive groves and the city of Batalha with the famous "Monastery" centrally located.

Batalha benefits from a central location amongst a wealth of historic sights and cities. The Pousada is the perfect starting point to visit the pilgrimage site of Fátima, the queen city of Óbidos, the beautiful monastery of Alcobaça, the "Convent of Christ" in Tomar and many other places of interest. The famous fishing village of Nazaré with the fortress and the beautiful church at the top situated "Sitio" and the beautiful beaches where from the end of October, until December, surf waves of 25 - 30 meters high can be seen with the weather conditions suitable. This along with the tranquil coastline where villages such as Vale de Paredes and São Pedro de Moel and many more beaches can be found within a 30-45 minute drive. The city of Leiria with the beautiful Old Town and the impressive "Castelo" and many good restaurants and authentic shops is also very pleasant for a day out.
